Softball Recap: Moniteau Warriors vs. Lakeview Sailors
Moniteau had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Lakeview Sailors on Friday as they made off with a 9-2 win.
Lexi Mcghee was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Mcghee was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Lily Staab was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Danilynn Wallace was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Moniteau's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Lakeview, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Moniteau and Lakeview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings.
