Soccer Recap: Lewis County Comes Up Short

If Lewis County was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Philip Barbour on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Minutemen lost 4-1 to the North Marion Huskies on Thursday. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Lewis County it sure didn't stay that way.

Their goal came courtesy of McKenzie Wilson, who's now up to 14 this season.

Lewis County moved to 3-3-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for North Marion, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Lewis County is taking a road trip to face off against Point Pleasant at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Marion, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Musselman at 1:00 p.m.
