Basketball Recap: Toms River South Takes a Loss

Toms River South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 64-44 to the Donovan Catholic Griffins. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-58 on January 7th.

Toms River South's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Donovan Catholic, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-10.

Toms River South has already played their next match, a 43-37 defeat against Toms River East on the 25th. As for Donovan Catholic, they will venture away from home to challenge Southern Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Donovan Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Southern Regional likes a good challenge.
