Soccer Game Preview: Reseda vs. Kennedy

The Reseda Regents will venture away from home to challenge the Kennedy Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Reseda's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Van Nuys 1-0. Henry Lopez had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Regents.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Kennedy's offense. They fell just short of Sylmar by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 853rd, while the Spartans are ranked 123rd).

The victory made it two in a row for Reseda and bumps their season record up to 5-3-3. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1.
