Basketball Recap: North Iowa Takes a Loss

North Iowa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 69-38 loss at the hands of the Lake Mills Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 139th).

North Iowa's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Lake Mills, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Iowa will venture away from home to square off against Eagle Grove at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. North Iowa is facing Eagle Grove at the right time seeing as Eagle Grove is stuck on an 18-game losing streak. As for Lake Mills, they will face off against Forest City at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
