Baseball Game Preview: Mount Airy Granite Bears vs. North Surry Greyhounds

Mount Airy hasn't had much luck against North Surry recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Granite Bears will venture away from home to face off against the Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m.

Mount Airy is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Stokes.

Meanwhile, North Surry waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 14-5 victory. The Greyhounds not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 4th.

Mount Airy's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for North Surry, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Mount Airy was able to grind out a solid win over North Surry when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Granite Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
