Preview: Benjamin Franklin Electrons vs. First Philadelphia Prep
The Benjamin Franklin Electrons will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against First Philadelphia Prep at 3:15 p.m. Benjamin Franklin will be strutting in after a win while First Philadelphia Prep will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Benjamin Franklin beat Vaux Big Picture 54-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Benjamin Franklin.
Benjamin Franklin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Soukare Fane, who scored 14 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Nazire Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, First Philadelphia Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 42-27 to Sayre, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Despite their loss, First Philadelphia Prep saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Khayr Graves, who scored 10 points, was perhaps the best of all. Graves scored a full 37% of First Philadelphia Prep's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Mckevin Azard was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-1.
