Softball Game Preview: Hammond Tornadoes vs. Loranger Wolves

The Hammond Tornadoes will head out on the road to face off against the Loranger Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Hammond has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Loranger will arrive with six straight victories.

Hammond lost 17-6 to Lakeshore on Friday.

Meanwhile, in Saturday's Canine Competition, Loranger came out on top. They had just enough and edged out Springfield 3-1. The three-run effort marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Loranger's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Hammond, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
