After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mergenthaler Vo-Tech, Carver Vo-Tech was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 28-8 margin over the Lake Clifton Lakers. The Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Carver Vo-Tech's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Lake Clifton, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carver Vo-Tech will challenge Green Street Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Lake Clifton, they will take on Dunbar at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Poets' defense has only allowed 3.8 points per game this season, so the Lakers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
