Football Game Preview: Sierra Timberwolves vs. Central Catholic Raiders + How To Watch

Sierra is 0-9 against Central Catholic since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Timberwolves will be playing at home against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Sierra has given up an average of 46.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Sierra was beaten by Oakdale 69-15. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 676th, while the Mustangs are ranked 88th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Central Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-7 win over Mountain House. That 49 point margin sets a new team best for the Raiders this season.

Central Catholic's win came from a few key players Sierra will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Chase Perino, who picked up 180 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also hauled in two receiving touchdowns, which is notable because Central Catholic is 2-1 when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Fuentes, who rushed for 75 yards and two scores on only seven carries.

Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Sierra, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Sierra was taken down by Central Catholic 47-14 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Timberwolves, Joey Alcutt (who rushed for 189 yards and three TDs) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
