Softball Recap: Adairsville Sets Scoring Season-High Against Gordon Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Adairsville). They never let the Gordon Central Warriors get on the board and left with a 19-0 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Maddie Baggett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ashlyn Carlton was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Kylee Hollingsworth was another key player, earning one RBI, three runs, and two stolen bases.

Adairsville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gordon Central only posted an OBP of .000.
