Baseball Recap: Florence Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Florence's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Seton Catholic Sentinels on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Gophers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Florence has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Seton Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florence will square off against Combs at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Coyotes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.43 runs per game on average), something the Gophers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Seton Catholic, they will challenge Odyssey Institute at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
