Volleyball Recap: Stanhope Elmore Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Stanhope Elmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Montgomery Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-7, 25-14.

Montgomery Academy was led to victory by Kaci Armistead and Elizabeth Campbell. Armistead had 16 digs and four aces, while Campbell had four digs and three aces. What's more, Armistead posted four assists, the most she's had since back in August.

Stanhope Elmore's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Montgomery Academy, they pushed their record up to 27-3 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Stanhope Elmore will host Wetumpka at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montgomery Academy has already played their next contest (against Percy Julian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
