Football Game Preview: Souhegan Sabers vs. Trinity Pioneers + How To Watch

The Souhegan Sabers will challenge the Trinity Pioneers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Souhegan sitting on 15 straight victories dating back to last season and Trinity on eight.

Souhegan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Pelham 47-14. The result was nothing new for the Sabers, who have now won ten matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.

Ryland Raudelunas had an outrageously good game as he picked up 58 receiving yards and two scores, and also rushed for 43 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Souhegan proved: they limited Pelham to a paltry 3.3 yards per carry. The Sabers' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.8.

Meanwhile, Trinity faced Plymouth in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Pioneers skirted past the Bobcats 29-27.

Trinity's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Souhegan, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.

Everything came up roses for Souhegan against Trinity in their previous meeting back in September of 2016, as the squad secured a 45-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sabers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
