Marion Local extended their winning streak to eight on Thursday, bumping them up to 16-3. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Versailles Tigers a 4-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Flyers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

As for Versailles, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15. While getting shut out isn't ideal, they haven't been shut out since back in April.

For Versailles' part, Madison Yagle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. Yagle has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marion Local will square off against rival Minster at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Versailles is set to challenge their familiar foe St. Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
