Basketball Recap: Pflugerville Connally Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Pflugerville Connally faced off against Pflugerville on Friday. The Pflugerville Connally Cougars fell just short of the Pflugerville Panthers by a score of 49-47. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Pflugerville Connally still got an impressive performance from Joshua Doe, who posted 19 points and six rebounds. Doe's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Phagans, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 14 points.

Pflugerville Connally's defeat dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Pflugerville, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-11.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing East View the next time they take the court. Pflugerville will head out to face East View at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Pflugerville Connally will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
