Basketball Recap: Mcdonald County's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

McDonald County had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the East Newton Patriots 59-33 on Monday. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McDonald County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dakota O'Brien, who went 9 of 12 on her way to 20 points in addition to six steals and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlie Martin, who went 7 for 15 on her way to 16 points in addition to eight assists and four steals.

McDonald County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
