Recap: Milford Eagles vs. Turpin Spartans

The Milford Eagles put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They were the clear victor by a 42-21 margin over Turpin. The result was nothing new for Milford, who have now won six matches by 21 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Milford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden Bailey, who threw for 239 yards and four touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Nathan Webster, who rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns.

Milford's win was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Walnut Hills and 1-9 Little Miami (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 35.9% over those games). As for Turpin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Milford will look to defend their home field on Friday against Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. Fairfield will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Turpin, they will head out on the road to face off against Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Anderson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Turpin likes a good challenge.
