Volleyball Recap: Becker Takes a Loss

Becker was the 2-0 winner over Barnum when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Bombers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bombers 25-18 in the first set.

Becker came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Payton Treptau paced Becker's offense, picking up nine kills. Treptau got some help from Elaynna Kuklok and her 19 assists.

Becker has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Barnum, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Becker wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Aitkin on the 4th. As for Barnum, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kelley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
