Football Game Preview: Whiteville Wolfpack vs. South Columbus Stallions

The Whiteville Wolfpack will head out to face off against the South Columbus Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Whiteville's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last seven contests.

Whiteville gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They snuck past Red Springs with a 33-28 victory.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when South Columbus and West Bladen meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Stallions walked away with a 34-25 win over the Knights.

Whiteville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points over those games. As for South Columbus, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Whiteville beat South Columbus 21-8 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolfpack since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
