Baseball Recap: Hazen Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Hazen, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over the Redmond Mustangs on Wednesday.

Hazen got a great performance from Logan Grossnickle as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. The dominant performance gave Grossnickle a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, Hazen let Alvin Chang and Joey Rubino run wild. Chang scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Rubino went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Rydan Corwin, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Hazen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Redmond only posted an OBP of .345.

The victory got Hazen back to even at 2-2. As for Redmond, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Coming up, Hazen will venture away from home to face off against Juanita at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Redmond, they will welcome Bothell/Inglemoor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
