Baseball Game Preview: Alliance Aviators vs. Field Falcons

The Alliance Aviators are taking a road trip to take on the Field Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Alliance had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Tuscarawas Valley on Thursday. The Aviators were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Trojans. The Aviators not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 31st (when they won 17-2).

Alliance got a massive performance out of DiAngelo Fisk, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Fisk a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady White, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Alliance hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Field got the win against Woodridge on Thursday by a conclusive 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Alliance's record is now 9-4. As for Field, their record now sits at 7-3.

Alliance couldn't quite finish off Field in their previous matchup back in May of 2022 and fell 5-3. Can the Aviators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
