Football Recap: Parlier Starts off Right with Win over Orange Cove

Parlier had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They skirted past the Orange Cove Titans 42-40. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Titans on their field since October 11, 2019.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to David Garcia and Angel Cisneros. Garcia rushed for 195 yards and three scores on only 11 carries while Cisneros rushed for 167 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Garcia's longest rush was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parlier will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Granite Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Orange Cove, they will take on Riverdale at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
