Basketball Game Preview: Collinsville Kahoks vs. O'Fallon Panthers

Collinsville hasn't had much luck against O'Fallon recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Collinsville Kahoks will head out on the road to face off against the O'Fallon Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Monday, Collinsville came up short against Jersey and fell 53-42. The Kahoks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, O'Fallon ended up a good deal behind Nashville on Friday and lost 59-40.

Collinsville will have to keep a close watch on Josie Christopher and Haeli Tart, a pair of players who had a big impact on O'Fallon's prior game. Christopher posted ten points and three steals, while Tart went 5 for 10 en route to 13 points. Christopher has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Nakia McCottrell, who scored eight points.

Collinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for O'Fallon, their loss dropped their record down to 19-9.

Collinsville took a serious blow against O'Fallon in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 76-46. Can Collinsville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
