Lakeside hadn't done well against Brookwood recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Broncos. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since October 3, 2024.

Lakeside had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-19, 17-15.

Lakeside's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Brookwood, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.
