Volleyball Recap: Drew Comes Up Short

Drew was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Urban Blues. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blues this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Friday.

Drew took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-9, 25-10.

Drew's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Urban, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Drew will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Quarry Lane at 5:15 p.m. on April 8. As for Urban, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Bentley on the 28th.
