The Purple Knights managed a 59-53 victory over the Purgolders. This was payback for the Purple Knights, who suffered a 60-45 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 59 points in those games. As for Madison East, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.
