Baseball Game Preview: Glasgow Scotties vs. Russell County Lakers

The Glasgow Scotties will face off against the Russell County Lakers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Glasgow's hitters haven't had much luck over their past five games, but Wednesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Glasgow after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 6-1 to Barren County.

Glasgow saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josiah Driver, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Russell County earned a 7-3 win over Adair County on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lakers.

Russell County's victory bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Glasgow, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-17-1.

Glasgow couldn't quite get it done against Russell County when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 10-5. Can the Scotties avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
