Baseball Recap: Wheeler Takes a Loss

The Wheeler Warriors came up short against the Gann Academy Red Heifers on Tuesday and fell 13-9.

Xavier Bain made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Ben Diaz was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Wheeler now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for Gann Academy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Coincidentally, Wheeler and Gann Academy will both be playing Bancroft the next time they take the field. The Warriors will head out to face the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Red Heifers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
