Swink and Rye are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2018, but not for long. The Lions will host the Thunderbolts at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Swink will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Swink made easy work of Las Animas and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Swink took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-12, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Rye got the win against Rocky Ford on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Rye was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-8.

Swink's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Rye, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Swink came out on top in a nail-biter against Rye in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunderbolts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
