Baseball Recap: Rivendell Academy Victorious

While Rivendell Academy's victory against Twin Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Rivendell Academy won by a run and slipped past Twin Valley 6-5. Six seems to be a good number for Rivendell Academy as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The victory made it two in a row for Rivendell Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Twin Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rivendell Academy will square off against rival Mt. St. Joseph Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Twin Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Proctor at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
