Basketball Recap: Owensboro Catholic Takes a Loss

Owensboro Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 60-44 fall against the Evansville Memorial Tigers. The Aces were probably out for revenge after losing 63-61 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Luke Ellspermann went supernova for Evansville Memorial, going 8 of 14 on his way to 25 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Evans, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

Owensboro Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Owensboro Catholic will welcome Apollo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Evansville Memorial, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Evansville Memorial Tigers duke it out with the Jasper Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
