Basketball Recap: International Comes Up Short

International was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Park Tudor Panthers and fell 78-30. While losing is never fun, the Gryphons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 436th, while the Panthers are ranked 196th).

Despite the loss, International still got an impressive performance from Peter Machado, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 boards. Machado is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played. Michael Kreutz was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds.

International's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Park Tudor, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-9.

International wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-30 victory against BELIEVE Circle City on the 10th. As for Park Tudor, they have also already played their next game, a 43-41 loss against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory on the 8th.
