Basketball Recap: Harvey Falls Despite Big Games from Armani Hall and Deontae Ware

Harvey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost to the West Geauga Wolverines at home by a 82-68 margin. While losing is never fun, the Red Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 614th, while the Wolverines are ranked 191st).

Deontae Ware and Armani Hall certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Ware went 9 of 19 en route to 22 points and eight boards, while Hall went 7 for 13 on his way to 22 points. That's the most points Ware has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Goines, who posted ten points.

Harvey's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for West Geauga, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Harvey didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-71 victory against Geneva on the 27th. West Geauga has also already played their next contest, a 60-42 win against Mayfield on the 25th.
