Baseball Game Preview: Jordan Warriors vs. Katy Tigers

For the second straight game, Jordan will face off against Katy. The Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jordan's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Katy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Jordan is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Katy.

Owen Wendt was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Luis Vera made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Katy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Jordan, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10-1.
