Hackett had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Quitman Bulldogs 3-0 on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Hornets as they're now sitting on six straight.
Michaelyn Freeman paced Hackett's offense, picking up 20 kills. Freeman got some help from Catelyn Edwards and her 17 assists. Edwards was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Hackett's win bumped their record up to 22-5-2. As for Quitman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4-2.
As of now, neither Hackett nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
