Volleyball Recap: Bethel Starts off Right with Win over Northwestern

Bethel had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Northwestern Warriors, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bees have posted since September 17, 2024.

Bethel had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-17, 18-16.

Their offense was headlined by Aubrey Bunting and Annabelle Adams, who picked up nine kills apiece. Adams really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 17. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Bethel will take on Urbana at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northwestern has already played their next contest (against Northeastern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
