Basketball Game Preview: Hernando Leopards vs. Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes

Having just played yesterday, the Hernando Leopards will head out on the road to face off against the Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hernando saw some tournament action on Friday. They snuck past East Lake with a 37-32 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Leopards.

Hernando can attribute much of their success to Aislin Ruppe, who posted 15 points, and Ayana Kincade, who put up 17 points. The matchup was Kincade's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

While Bishop McLaughlin Catholic didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 32-21 victory over Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate on Friday.

Hernando better keep an eye on Aliana Arana. She was instrumental in Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's win, putting up 13 points. Keegan Castelli was another key player, posting six points.

Hernando now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
