Baseball Recap: Hart Takes a Loss

Hart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ludington Orioles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pirates have suffered since May 22, 2024.

Hart now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Ludington, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hart will host Shelby at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ludington, they will be playing at home against Montague at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Orioles surely won't give up without a fight.
