Football Preview: Lapel Bulldogs vs. Shenandoah Raiders        
        
		
             The Lapel Bulldogs will head out on the road to  face off against  the Shenandoah Raiders  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
 Last Friday, Lapel blew past Frankton, posting  a  40-13 win on the road. Given the Bulldogs' advantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings  (they are ranked 92nd, while the Eagles are ranked 209th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
  Devin Craig and  Rylie Hudson were among the main playmakers for Lapel as the former threw for 350 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.9 yards per attempt and the latter picked up 180 receiving yards and two touchdowns.  Brice Burress also helped out as he racked up 100 receiving yards.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lapel was moving up and down the field and  finished the game with 476  total yards. That's the most  total yards they've posted since  was before  the start of last season.
 Lapel's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of  Reed Hamilton and  Mason Page. With that strong performance,  Hamilton is now averaging an impressive 4  total tackles per game.  Isaiah Young was another major factor on D,  making 15 total tackles.
 Meanwhile, Shenandoah was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past South Decatur 53-22 at home. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Raiders.
 Shenandoah's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Hayden Hubbard, who picked up 67 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget  Karter Gray, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
 Another reason for the win was Shenandoah's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Jacob Brown and  Cash Cowley who racked up  four sacks between them. Cowley's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  picking up  two  sacks and making six total tackles (2.5 for loss).
 Lapel's record is now 2-0. As for Shenandoah, their victory  ended  a  four-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-0.
 Everything came up roses for Lapel against Shenandoah when the teams last played  back in September of 2023 as the  squad secured  a  42-8 win. In that  match, Lapel amassed a halftime lead of  35-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Friday.
