Preview: Lincoln County vs. Jefferson County
The Lincoln County Red Devils will head out on the road to challenge the Jefferson County Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln County will be strutting in after a victory while Jefferson County will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Lincoln County earned a 3-1 win over Treutlen. The victory was just what Lincoln County needed coming off of a 4-0 loss in their prior contest.
They hit Treutlen with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Melanie Urbina ramos,
Annalise Leclerc, and
Kaelyn Stacy.
Meanwhile, Jefferson County came up short against Thomson on Thursday and fell 4-2. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jefferson County in their matchups with Thomson: they've now lost four in a row.
The victory got Lincoln County back to even at 1-1. As for Jefferson County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1.
Lincoln County took their victory against Jefferson County in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 6-1. In that match, Lincoln County amassed a halftime lead of half, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
