Basketball Recap: Coahoma County Comes Up Short

Coahoma County and Edwards squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Coahoma County had to settle for second. They took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edwards Tigers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Red Panthers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Tigers are ranked 245th).

Coahoma County's loss dropped their record down to 24-6. As for Edwards, their record is now 7-16.

Coahoma County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edwards, they will face off against Booneville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
