After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hazen, Sammamish was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Highline Pirates. The RedHawks haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Reid Baum made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Sammamish got a massive performance out of Kolin Jaster, who scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Castillo, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Sammamish's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Highline, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Sammamish will welcome Foster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The RedHawks are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Highline, they will head out on the road to challenge Tyee at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.17 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
