Softball Recap: Timpanogos Triumphs

Timpanogos proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 16) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hurricane Tigers, sneaking past 3-2.

Kelci Gingras made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Gingras was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Gingras wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaydance Pope, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Timpanogos' record is now 13-3. As for Hurricane, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

When Timpanogos and Hurricane next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Timberwolves will try to stop Payson's four-game winning streak when they meet at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hurricane will take on Dixie and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
