Volleyball Recap: Chattooga Takes a Loss

Chattooga entered their match against Armuchee on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Chattooga fell 2-0 to Armuchee. Chattooga was not able to make up for their defeat to Armuchee from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Chattooga was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Armuchee work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 28-26.

Haley Maddux paced Chattooga's offense, picking up 12 kills. Maddux got some help from Madilyn Wheat and her ten assists. Maddux was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Chattooga's loss dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Armuchee, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Chattooga and Armuchee will both be playing Trion the next time they take the court. Armuchee will head out to face Trion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chattooga will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
