Baseball Recap: West Jones Continues Road Dominance on Saturday

It's playoff time, and West Jones had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Picayune Maroon Tide a 4-0 shutout on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Maroon Tide on Friday, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

West Jones pushed their record up to 14-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Picayune, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-9.

West Jones will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Maroon Tide: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
