Soccer Recap: Taft Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kennedy last Wednesday, Taft came back down to earth. The Taft Wildcats fell just short of the McFarland Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on January 7th.

Taft's loss dropped their record down to 7-10-4. As for McFarland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taft will host Chavez at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McFarland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kennedy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
