Baseball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin lost to Galena Park on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-3 to the Yellowjackets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Greg Leon was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Austin is 2-1 when Leon posts three or more hits, but 5-17 otherwise. Juan Escamilla was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Galena Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Austin nor Galena Park have any future games scheduled.
