There's no place like home for Alexander Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past the South Caldwell Spartans with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 42-26. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 30-17 win the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Alexander Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sawyer Chapman-Mays, who rushed for 140 yards and three scores. Chapman-Mays is becoming a predictor of the Cougars' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 0-6 when he doesn't). Jaquis Parks was another key rusher, rushing for 117 yards and one TD on only six carries.

Alexander Central's record is now 3-7. As for South Caldwell, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8.
