T.R. Miller proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Gulf Breeze Dolphins. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Dolphins back in February, they had to take a 5-0 loss.

Ollie Billingsley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, T.R. Miller's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Allison Reeves, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

T.R. Miller's win bumped their record up to 13-11-1. As for Gulf Breeze, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Coming up, T.R. Miller will challenge Pace at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gulf Breeze, they will face off against Northview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dolphins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chiefs have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
